Our client firm needs 2 architects with 5+ years experience to execute construction documents: exterior details on a hospitality project in the UAE using AutoCAD 2008. An understanding of metrics is adventagous. You will be working with a team of 8 to 10 people. Assignment duration is 4 to 6 weeks possibly longer.

Degreed Architect or Interior Designer w/ FM Exp.

Chicago Loop JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
* 7 to 10 years of direct experience
* Knowledge in Computer Aided Design(CAD), MS Project, Excel and Word
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent project management skills

JOB SUMMARY:

Manages complex facilities improvement projects. Knows, understands, uses and communicates specialized design and construction concepts and terminology complete projects. Uses CAD technology to accomplish project objectives. Provides work direction to trades and junior staff and feedback to others. Serves as liaison among client, Facilities, and vendors, providing status and troubleshooting all related issues. Performs analysis, develops scope of work and tracks project costs. Projects at this level typically are the most complex in terms of scale, scope, budget, phasing, customer impact and impact on building systems, and incumbents typically have over ten years of direct experience. The level of work is considered advanced, and staff work under minimal supervision. This position has no direct reports.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

* Knows, applies, and communicates all aspects of complex space renovation projects and processes, including programming, planning, design detailing, construction documents and construction administration.

* Creates space plans and construction documents for projects throughout the bank facility.

* Coordinates engineering requirements for MEP and structural systems design and integrates consultant information with architectural documents

* Serves as liaison among client, Facilities and vendors, including status meetings, troubleshooting and all related project activities

* Manages vendor and consultant relationships from inception to project close

* Tracks costs of project, reviews invoices and correspondence and approves payment; prepares reports and summarizes financial status of project and adherence to project/bank goals

* Coordinates and is responsible for all aspects of building/construction projects

* Develops project schedules and budgets

* Specifies goods and services and assists in the purchases, contracts, installation and follow-up services.

* Coordinates requests from Bank and third party tenants to provide creative solutions and complete work by internal and external trades/suppliers

* Performs other duties as assigned
